About Me

Alexa, known by her artist name consulessa, is a German painter born in 1967 near Stuttgart, who currently lives in Spain.

Art has always been a part of her life and even as a child she spent hours drawing. With art as a subject, she successfully passed her Abitur. She wanted to become an artist, but was forced to learn something “real”.

After completing a commercial apprenticeship, her professional career led her to the IT industry, where she worked for over 30 years. Her passion for digitalisation earned her the nickname “Miss Digital”. Her extraordinary career eventually took her all the way to management, where she discovered and developed her leadership qualities. Nevertheless, she kept up her passion for art and devoted herself intensively to painting in her free time.

At the age of 54, after a burnout and in the midst of the pandemic, she decided to give up her IT career and devote herself entirely to painting.

Art led her on a path of self-healing, where she processed the burnout, found self-acceptance and developed self-love. During this journey, she realised that she was an introvert, which marked a crucial turning point in her journey.

In 2022 she had her first community exhibition in Valencia. She is also the founder of „NAZARTE – La ruta el arte“, which is an art festival held in the neighbourhood of Natzaret, in the city of Valencia.

Alexa’s devotion is to abstract art, where she transforms emotions into colours and shapes that represent her healing and self-love processes. She paints her introverted world and shows that introversion can be colourful.

Her mission: to inspire, encourage and empower introverts so they can recognise their inner beauty and celebrate their uniqueness in a world of extroversion, to clear up misconceptions about introversion and thereby promote understanding and acceptance.
